King_qt_s Bay, Ga. (May 29, 2003) - Chief Aviation Boatswain_qt_s Mate Rodger Wisdom and volunteers from the Navy fire department wrangle a ten-foot alligator aboard Naval Submarine Base King_qt_s Bay, Ga. Chief Wisdom is the base Game Warden and is responsible for the capture of wildlife that could present a danger to base personnel. Alligators that reach 6 feet or larger are considered too dangerous for base personnel and their families, and are removed. The smaller ones generally don_qt_t represent a threat to base personnel or dependents unless they are cornered or harassed. The captured alligators are released along the North River, which is a remote area where they can live away from the base. U.S. Navy photo by Chief Photographer_qt_s Mate Chris Desmond. (RELEASED)
